Lost and Found

Styleframes, Illustration
This series of styleframes centers a young man who is frantically searching his apartment for a lost item. He eventually uncovers a vibrant fish-themed backpack that strikes a contrast with his otherwise dark and sullen appearance. This concept playfully illuminates the stereotypes and assumptions we form about individuals based solely on their outward appearance.

Comics have long been a favorite storytelling medium, and I wanted to channel that inspiration into this piece. With this in mind, I experimented with multi-panel compositions and ways to create a limited yet cohesive color palette.

Taking inspiration from comics, I sketched out a variety of different compositions. With each round I condensed and perfected the storytelling, settling on utilizing the objects within the room to show each frame.
